Important

 

3 October  is "Tag der deutschen Einheit" (German Unification Day). On that day, trucks with a total loaded weight of 7.5 tons and more are not allowed to drive in Germany from midnight till 10 pm. The special permit allows the trucks to drive in Germany on that day.

 

Special permits can be applied for either directly at the border crossing or at the municipal office traffic department City of Frankfurt. The request should be sent via fax (+49 69 212 71394) with the following information: license plate of the vehicles (including trailer), total loaded weight of all vehicles (trailers mentioned separately), kind of goods that are transported. The permission is with costs.

 

Attention: the request should be sent 3 weeks before needed at the latest!!!
